Who is actually the ICV?
For more than 40 years of its existence the International Association of Controllers (ICV) has set standards both for the controlling and the controllers and therefore is today the controlling competence address in Europe. The approximately 6.000 members - 200 corporate members - benefit from a wide-ranging network, central contacts, high-caliber specialist events, awards for excellent work and more than 60 work groups. These are regionally oriented or focused specifically on specific sectors or specialist topics. The Association brings together theory and practice, trends and test, newcomers and old hands, specialist knowledge and professional know-how and offers a complete range of products for controllers, CFOs and all those who are concerned with controlling.

ICV Events and ICV Awards
The ICV offers a large number of Events in a wide variety of formats throughout the year - as face-to-face events, as ICV online webinars or as online events. The renowned ICV Congress der Controller has been held regularly in spring for almost 50 years and is the central meeting of the controlling community in Europe. The ICV Controlling Excellence Award is presented there.
The ICV Autumn Conferences offer participants the opportunity to get up to date at regional controlling events. The young talents in controlling receives its award here - the ICV Newcomer Award.
Together with the Péter Horváth Foundation, the ICV also awards the Green Controlling Award for sustainable controlling solutions.

It all began with the CA controller akademie - its graduates were the ones who with the CA founder Dipl.-Kfm. Dr. Dr. h.c. Albrecht Deyhle founded the International Association of Controllers in 1975. Since then, CA and the ICV have shaped the controlling in German-speaking countries as strategic partners and ensured that members and graduates in the area of corporate management and controlling are equipped with the best knowledge, skills and an international network. For all CA participants, the ICV is the alumni network.

What is controlling?
Controlling generally means comparing the results with standards or benchmarks or regulating something. At the ICV we understand that in accompany of the managers controllers develop the management process of defining goals, the planning and controlling of business processes and thus share responsibility for achieving entrepreneurial goals. The controller ensures that everyone within the framework of the elaborated goals and plans can manage / control themselves.
