The 46th Congress of Controllers has ended successfully: We invite you to the 47th Congress of Controllers on May 15/16, 2023 in Munich and look forward to seeing you!

The Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Heimo Losbichler draws a first summary of the event in conversation with the Performance Manager Podcast / atvisio.TV at the Congress of Controllers.

On the morning of May 9, ICV Chairman Prof. Dr. Heimo Losbichler opened the controlling meeting in Munich's congress hotel The Westin Grand with a look at the current economic situation. Losbichler shows a socially, politically and thus also economically challenging time, in which many experts warn of stagflation: record inflation with price increases, especially on the raw material and producer side, coupled with unstable supply chains and the first massive interest rate hikes in the long term. These are accompanied by a high degree of uncertainty about future economic developments. The ICV Chairman points to “many question marks”, for example in the area of energy supply, lockdowns in China and upcoming wage increases.

“I can't remember that executives and controllers found the market environment calm even in the good old days, if they ever existed. Nevertheless, I believe that we are in a particularly challenging time. Controlling that faces these challenges and provides management support is all the more important,” emphasizes Losbichler.

He called on the approximately 400 participants to network for their personal information advantage and to use the offers of the Congress, which, under the motto "Knowledge for Tomorrow's Business", provides many impulses and best practices for the burning topics of agility, digitization and sustainability - all also ICV topics of the year - offer.

Foreword by the Chairman of the Board for the 46th Congress of Controllers in 2022

Dear Sir or Madam,

We are currently experiencing a particularly interesting but also challenging time for corporate management. In the field of tension full of order books, empty supply chains and pandemic-related uncertainty, many companies are required to be operationally more agile than ever. At the same time, the strategic framework is changing. The main drivers are global climate change and digital transformation. The current developments offer great entrepreneurial opportunities, but require targeted action - also in controlling and for the controllers themselves. The motto "Knowledge for Tomorrow’s Business - agile, digital, sustainable" of this year's event reflects this status quo.

Take advantage of the opportunity that the Congress of Controllers offers you to gain practical insights into current developments, to exchange experiences with colleagues and thus to gain a valuable head start in terms of information. With over 500 participants, the Congress in Munich is THE controlling highlight of the year and THE meeting place for the Controlling Community.

I am looking forward to inspiring lectures, exciting discussions and personal exchange at the 46th Congress of Controllers.

Regards,

ICV Managing Director Carmen Zillmer on a tour of the Congress Hotel The Westin Grand Munich (language: German).
