Congress of Controllers: Expert conference for the controlling community on April 26/27, 2021

Foreword by the Chairman of the Board for the 45th Congress of Controllers 2021

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

corona has left deep marks on the balance sheets of many companies and economies. The initial hope of a quick restart has given way to the realization that corona will continue to challenge us intensively, at least in the first half of 2021. At the same time, economic researchers expect a historic upturn for the year as a whole.

In view of these general conditions, managers and controllers ask themselves which measures they can use to master the crisis successfully and emerge stronger from it. Parallel to the immediate crisis management, it is important to prepare for the time afterwards and to develop strategies for the upturn.

With our Congress agenda we want to look ahead and offer you a wide range of impulses for these two subject areas. Sustainability, digital change, transformation & disruption, artificial intelligence, future of work or performance management are just a few of the key words that will be dealt with in the speeches and give valuable insights from the work of leading companies.

Exchanging experiences is particularly important in uncertain times like today. Use the opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues and get inspired. At the same time, I would like to invite you to become a member of the ICV and part of our community and thus secure yourself a knowledge advantage.

I'm looking forward to the controlling highlight of the year, the 45th Congress of Controllers!

Sincerely

In an interview with Peter Bluhm from the "Performance Manager Podcast", Prof. Dr. Heimo Losbichler, Chairman of the ICV, and Matthias von Daacke, Vice-Chairman of the ICV, give insights into the background, consequences and further planning. At the 2021 Congress of Controllers for example, the focus should be on performance management, digitization, new work, recovery and restart.
