Objectives and Key Results (OKR) in practice
Agile Controlling: Offer 1 of 4 on the main topic of the CAB 2021
Lecturer Jürgen Theisen provides an insight into the OKRs and their practical application - also in comparison to other management methods.
"Objectives and Key Results" is a goal achievement method in which employees are involved in the formulation of vision-based corporate goals and implement them together in "Objectives" and "Key Results". This creates a binding commitment across all levels and ensures that goals are achieved.
The "Objectives" describe the qualitative goals and the directly assigned "Key Results" describe the quantitative goals, through which the achievement of goals can be measured. The OKR principles include self-organization, short cycles and continuous improvement, supported by the values of alignment, commitment and transparency.

Further offers to deepen the main topic of agile controlling
Agile methods are currently on the rise in many companies. These are used more and more often, not only in development projects, but also increasingly in classic corporate management. There are interesting possibilities here, especially for controlling. At the 17th Controlling Advantage Bonn (CAB) 2021, an autumn conference of the ICV region Germany West, the participants heard very interesting lectures on this topic and worked on their theses and contributions to the discussion together in working groups.
As already announced at the CAB, the topic of agile controlling will be taken up and deepened in further virtual sessions.
