Controller Congress, Munich: Biggest controlling conference in Europe

The 44th Controller Congress takes place on May 13/14, 2019 in Munich. The Congress will be once again simultaneusly translated into English.

Welcome letter from Dr. Richard Lutz on the occasion of the recent 43rd Controller Congress 2018

Digitalization is changing our lives and leading to upheavals in all sectors. Short investment cycles, changing customer needs and disruptive business models place also new demands on the financial function.

In complex decision-making situations, companies need to seize opportunities quickly. That’s why they need up-to-the-minute management-relevant data, a new investment logic, willingness to take risks, and freedom for new business models. In short, it is about a cultural revolution in your mind. This is also in the motto of the Controller Congress 2018: questioning - rethinking – mind shift.

At Deutsche Bahn, we have initiated the digital transformation in the financial function and set up the FINANCE 4 DB program. The name is program, because a powerful and smart financial function can make a significant contribution to a successful DB, especially in the digital age. For our business units and for procurement, accounting / tax, controlling and treasury departments, this means a major change: We optimize the role of the business partners, standardize and automate our processes, invest in digital skills and work with tailor-made IT solutions. Everything for our overall goal: more quality, more customers and more success.

Digitalization moves us all and it sets us in motion. With this in mind, I am looking forward to an inspiring exchange with you at the Controller Congress 2018!
