CCS Controlling Competence Spaces - history and program archive

The first regional conference of the work groups from Germany South took place on November 28, 2001 in the atrium of the Stuttgart Airport Center. In 2007, the concept of the regional conference was reformed and reactivated. The conference location Stuttgart was retained as an important economic area and center of the work groups Germany South. Here IBM could also be won, not only as a new venue, but also as a sponsor: IBM provides premises and infrastructure for the event.

  • On November 15, 2007, the 1st event took place in the IBM Forum Stuttgart under the main topic "Internationalization: Companies on the international stage - so that opportunities do not become risks".
  • The regional conference on November 13, 2008 had the main theme "Trends in Controlling: Shaping the future with Controlling - Successful corporate development with Controlling".
  • In 2009, on November 19, the regional conference took place at the new IBM site in Ehningen with the main theme: "Controlling in difficult times: the right management instruments at the right time".
  • "Controlling instruments for looking ahead" was the motto of the 8th CCS Controlling Competence Stuttgart on November 18, 2010 in the IBM Forum Ehningen.
  • On November 24, 2011, "Innovative and proven instruments in controlling" were the focus of considerations in the IBM Forum Ehningen at the 9th CCS.
  • More than 150 participants are at the CCS 2012 under the motto "Controlling in a different way”. The agenda includes "political controlling" with the chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in Baden-Württemberg and an entertaining lecture by Joey Kelley on the topic: "How do I achieve my goals?"
  • "Increasing performance through controlling" is the motto of the 11th CCS in 2013.
  • In 2014, the CCS focuses on "Successful Controlling Methods and Instruments in Practice"
  • The increasing flood of data and how to deal with it is also a concern of controlling in 2015. The motto of the CCS that year is: "Controlling Changes… in times of Big Data and Industrie 4.0"
  • At the 14th CCS in 2016, speakers and participants ask themselves the question "Interactions: What influences controlling and controllers?"
  • In 2017, it is important to achieve an exciting combination of efficiency and innovation: "Controlling – shaping the future: acting efficiently and innovatively"
  • The future remains a central topic, also in 2018. The motto here is: "Prepare for your future! Questioning - rethinking – mind shift "
  • „Prepare for your Future!" remains the center of thought and action for the CCS. That's why the motto for 2019 is exactly that.
  • There is a premiere in 2020: The CCS is offered as an online event under the motto "Crisis as an opportunity?! - The new realities for controlling and finance".
  • The innovative online format - participants and speakers interact as avatars -  is offered also after 2020. The regional event Controlling Competence Stuttgart has therefore officially become the Controlling Competence Spaces since 2022.
  • In 2022, for the first time, a consistent English-language offer is made in addition to German.
  • The CCS pauses in 2023. A conceptual restart is being planned.
